“her last name is really long and ethnic so i’m not even gonna try to pronounce it”. ouch, so many things wrong with this one, but i’ll try to break it down for you. first, slavic is a word. you can use it instead of seeming like an ignoramus. second, swallow your pride and ask people how to pronounce their last names- it’s the polite thing to do.
