Over the summer, I had the time (and energy) to perfect one of my favorite, go-to recipes. Not only is it very pleasing to the eye, but this jumbo, dragon fruit smoothie is jam packed with benefits.Before I send you on your way with the recipe, let me tell you a little bit about all the goodness in this nutrient filled drink.
Dragon fruits, also known as pitayas or strawberry pears, are mainly found in Central America as a fruit of a cactus. Although there are many variations of the exotic fruit, all of them have one thing in common, tons and tons of benefits.
Loaded with antioxidants such as vitamin C, Betalains and Carotenoids
1. There have been connections of all these to aiding in reducing the risk of cancer in the head, neck and heart
2. Filled with fiber
