Starting off the four day weekend, volleyball is set to battle the Memorial Warriors at Memorial Friday afternoon at 5:30 p.m.

“We are expecting a hard fight from Memorial tomorrow, but we are expecting ourselves to pull out a win,” senior Jessica Gordon said. “I think we are really hoping to connect more and improve our level of play because playoffs are coming up in about a month. We’re planning on really using our next few games to really step up.”

With the athletes minds set on ensuring a spot in playoffs, the team is hoping to claim their 12th consecutive win in District 9-5A.

“I’m expecting Memorial to come out wanting to win because we are first in district and we’re a big target for everyone else,” junior Lauren Ransom said.  “I’m hoping that we can keep them to a certain amount of points in each set and to be very consistent across the board.
