Clinching the District 9-5A championship and a 16th straight win are on the line Friday evening when the volleyball team takes on Heritage at 5:30 p.m. in the final home game of the year.

“A win against Heritage we would have our number one spot in districts secured, which also guarantees our seed and who we will play in the first round of playoffs,” senior Regan Cooper said via text. “Our mindset is mostly focused on keeping the game at our level, we want to control the pace the whole game.”

With one of the longest winning streaks in the area, the Redhawks know they are going to get the Coyotes best effort.

“Having a 15 win streak puts a target on our backs and we know that everyone wants to beat us to lose our streak so we have to play hardest,” junior Kyla Crawford said via text. “Some important things for us to remember tomorrow for the game is that Heritage won’t give up without a fight, and we need to respect the talent that they have and not get cocky or comfortable.”
