Wingspan: How does band impact your daily life?

George: “It impacts me because I have put in time and work for after school practice and just practicing and getting better at my instrument.”

Wingspan: Are you considering continuing to band beyond? Why?

George: “It depends if I’m good enough to do it in college.”

Wingspan: What are your personal goals for this year?

George: “I just plan ahead and try to get my work down and study on time, because I have to put so much time into practicing”

Wingspan: What’s your favorite memory of the band?

George: “There are too many but one of them is hanging out with the other trumpets on the band bus last year after UIL.”

Wingspan: What is your advice to anybody thinking about joining the band?

George: “They should definitely do it and pick the trumpet.”

Wingspan: If you had to pick a different instrument to play what would it be?

George: “When I was trying out every instrument in 5th grade the teacher said I was really good at bassoon or oboe and I thought saxophones sounded cool but I would probably pick the trombone because I think it would be really cool and fun to play.”
