First it was senior diver Lauren Burrell advancing to State, then it was numerous members of the boys’ swimming team following suit at the 3-5A Regional Meet on Saturday at the Bruce Eubanks Natatorium.

Noah Rose, Jiwoo Oh, Nikita Naumov, Jack Easton, Ryan Phillip, Luke Miao and Matthew Enunwaoyne will all be headed to state Feb. 18-20 to compete at the UT swim center.

The boys’ team took first place in the 100 back, 100 breaststroke and 400 Free Relay and finished as region runner up. Several relays and individuals made State as automatic qualifiers while others advanced as call-ups.
