Crystals

Crystals have become a popular trend recently. Many people think they are just pretty, shiny rocks, but in reality, crystals are a type of medicine brought from Hindu culture. They help increase vibrations and promote the flow of good energy. Every crystal has a different energetic frequency and can help with different things. For example, clear quartz is a great amplifying stone, amethyst is used as a healing crystal, and green aventurine is brings luck and success.

However, crystals won’t stay clear of negative energy forever. In order to restore your crystal to its natural state, you need to cleanse it. This can be done in many different ways. My personal favorite is the brown rice cleanse. In order to do this, fill a glass bowl with dry brown rice and push your crystal into the bowl until you cannot see it. Let your crystal sit in the rice for about a day. Then dispose of the rice, as it is said to have soaked up the crystal’s negative energy. Another way to charge your crystal is to keep it in the moonlight overnight (even better if it’s a full moon.)

Even though every crystal will help you as necessary, not all crystals are good for beginners. A really powerful crystal by the name of Moldavite is used to help your life get on the right track fairly quickly. However, be warned, this crystal is said to have wreaked havoc in the wearer’s life and to have even caused deaths in the wearer’s family. My personal experience with Moldavite was not the best. Within the course of 2 days, I had already sprained my ankle and got fired from my volunteer position. So be careful about the crystals you buy. Some crystals that are recommended for beginners are amethyst, carnelian, citrine, clear quartz, garnet, and hematite. These are not as powerful as Moldavite and better suited for those that are just starting out.
