Altars

If you need a spiritual place to do spells and manifestations, or just a space to meditate, an altar is a great space to look into. An altar is a sacred space where you can place all your mystical items, such as crystals and tarot cards, for display. An altar is a space that is meaningful, healing, and specific to you. Your altar can be a simple lit candle on your kitchen table or it can be as big and crazy as you want. It is completely up to you.

A good idea is to represent the elements at your altar. North, or earth, can be represented with a bowl of salt, sand, dirt, and/or leaves. East, or air, can be represented with a feather or lit incense. West, or water, can be represented with some water with clear quartz in it. Or even better, some moon water. South, or fire, you can light a candle in this area.

Some other things you can put on your altar are crystals, candles, lucky charms, incense, coins, flowers, food, angel cards, photos of your ancestors or gods, written prayers, beloved books, a meditation cushion, and tarot cards.

Remember that your altar is a symbol for you. If your altar is unmaintained, it’s usually a sign that it’s time to reconnect with your spiritual yourself. The more you take care of your altar, the more mystical and special it becomes.
