Letting Go

Have you ever had a memory, thought, or something that stressed you out? It may seem like there is no way to eliminate that constant stress. However, there are many spiritual ways to assist you.

These are simple home remedies that will help you quickly relieve the extra pressure your life has placed on you. For this exercise, you will need a marker and a helium balloon. Write what is stressing you out on the balloon, and go outside. Take a deep breath and let go of the balloon. As you watch it float upward, imagine your stress leaving with it. You should no longer feel stressed when you can no longer see the balloon. I’d encourage you to practice this with biodegradable balloons and in moderation in order to to help the environment.

Another way to lessen stress levels is the practice of burning your stress-inducing thoughts. Write out what is stressing you out on a piece of paper. Take a couple of deep breaths and let that negative thought resonate with you. Then take a lighter and burn the piece of paper. As the paper, and obviously, your writing on it, disappears, let the thought exit your mind.
