When most people think of eating healthier, most think to give up yummy snacks. But with staff reporter Shreya Agrawal’s list of favorite gluten-free and vegan snacks, anyone can enjoy something special, delicious, and healthy.

Healthy snack options

Eating healthier foods doesn’t mean you have to give up yummy snacks. With this list, I’ve got your healthy snack supply covered. Below, you will find some of my favorite gluten-free and vegan snacks for the times when you want to enjoy something special and delicious.

  1. Simple Mills Black Pepper Crackers: You can buy these from Whole Foods, Sprouts, Simple Mills’ website, or Thrive Market. They are the perfect crisp cracker, and the black pepper adds a unique fiery heat to the crackers.
  2. Simple Mills Toasted Pecan Cookies: You can buy these from Whole Foods, Sprouts, Simple Mills’ website, or Thrive Market. They are the perfect cookie for when you want something soft and crunchy. They remind me of Indian cookies.
  3. Hu Dark Chocolates: You can buy these from Whole Foods, Sprouts, or Hu’s website. They are great for snacking or baking, and they are also fair trade and refined-sugar free. My favorite flavors are the hazelnut butter filled ones or the vanilla crunch ones.
  4. Siete Dip Chips: You can buy these from Whole Foods, Sprouts, Siete’s website, or Thrive Market. They are super sturdy and crunchy, making them perfect for nachos or enjoying on their own with guacamole or salsa.
  5. Santa Cruz Apple Sauce: I generally buy it from Whole Foods, but you can also order directly from the website. This apple sauce has an amazing flavor. It also doesn’t have any added sugar or citric acid, making it one of the cleanest apple sauces available.
  6. Autumn’s Gold Granola Bars: I generally buy these from Costco but you can get them from the website too. They are made with wholesome ingredients which make them both delicious and filling.
  7. Good Health Veggie Chips: I usually buy them from Sprouts or Kroger. These chips are some of the tastiest veggie chips I have ever had. They are also potato based instead of corn based, making them perfect for people who are sensitive or allergic to corn.
  8. Simply 7 Lentil Chips: These are available at Whole Foods or on the website. They are the perfect neutral tasting chip that have a crunch and fluffiness to them.
  9. Cashew Clusters: Costco’s cashew clusters are the perfect snack for gatherings or school. They are sweet, satisfying, and healthy.
