Copeland: “I chose Baylor University.”

Wingspan: Why did you choose that school?

Copeland: “I chose this school because it stood out both academically and athletically and felt like home when I went on my official visit.”

Wingspan: Was this a hard decision to choose this school?

Copeland: “I was between going to Baylor and UNC and went back and forth on the decision a lot but in the end I knew I wanted to be a bear!”

Wingspan: What are you expecting from being a college athlete?

Copeland: “I’m expecting to not only improve as an athlete but as a person, I’ll be put in some challenging positions and I can’t wait to overcome them!”

Wingspan: What school did you choose?

Magness: “I chose Southern Arkansas University.”

Wingspan: Why did you choose that school?

Magness: “I choose to go to SAU because it’s close to home, the campus is pretty, they have nursing and I loved the coaches.”

Wingspan: Was this a hard decision to choose this school?

Magness: “Before I went on any of my visits I made a checklist of what my school had to have in order for me to go there and SAU was the only one that checked off all my boxes and when I went on my visit I could just see me going to SAU.”

Wingspan: What are you expecting from being a college athlete?

Magness: “I’m expecting to have a lot of fun with my team and stay in shape. I’m really excited to travel and play some of my previous teammates that are also playing college ball in my conference!”

Gianna Antovoni: soccer

Wingspan: What school did you choose?

Antovoni: “I chose Midwestern State University!”

Wingspan: Why did you choose that school?

Antovoni: “I chose this school because I loved the soccer and nursing program! While playing Division 2 soccer I can still focus on getting my nursing degree at one of the top schools. Also my best friends happens to be committed there for soccer as well which made the choice so easy!”

Wingspan: Was this a hard decision to choose this school?

Antovoni: “It was not a hard decision! The soccer program had just recently been to the final for their conference and I knew I wanted to be a part of something I would have to earn my spot for, with a winning team and great coaches I knew it’s where I wanted to be to develop as a player and have a memorable experience.

Wingspan: What are you expecting from being a college athlete?

Antovoni: “I am expecting a lot of hours studying and a lot of hours working with my team. I know with trying to be a nurse it’s a lot of hard work because it’s so time consuming especially with soccer on top of that. So definitely lots of time management is going to be a must.
