Wingspan: When did you start playing baseball?

“Garza: “I started playing at probably 5-6 years old.”

Wingspan: Why did you start playing baseball?

Garza: “I started playing because my dad and brother played baseball.”

Wingspan: What is your favorite memory of baseball?

Garza: “My favorite memory of baseball is winning the pg world series last summer with our team not allowing the run the whole tournament, and for getting the most valuable pitcher of the tournament.”

Wingspan: What are you excited about for playoffs?

Garza: “I’m excited about baseball playoffs by continuing to be able to be with the seniors another week after each round we advance, and the excitement winning brings especially as an underdog headed into the playoffs.”

Wingspan: Who is your biggest motivator?

Garza: “My biggest motivator is my parents and more specifically my dad.”

Wingspan: What is the most difficult thing about baseball?

Garza: “The most difficult thing about baseball is the mental side of it because hitting is one of the hardest things in sports where you will fail more than you succeed and it can get to your head when you are off and go on bad streaks hitting.”

Wingspan: What is your goal this season?

Garza: “My goal of the season was originally to make it to the 3rd round of playoffs, which we are currently at, so now I want to see how far we can go and each week the goal is to make it one more week and not to look too far ahead.”
