FISD launches season ticket packages
The August 27 Frisco ISD grand opening of the The Ford Center at The Star, featuring every varsity football team in the district, is expected to be a sellout. To help fans ensure they have the chance to get a seat, the district announced a season ticket plan on Monday.
“Frisco ISD is announcing the varsity football ticket sales window in order to allow students and parents the opportunity to buy season tickets to insure their seat for the opening weekend, before summer vacation,” FISD special projects manager Brent Reese said.
Starting Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. and ending on July 15 or until tickets are sold out, season ticket packages may be purchased online at tickets.friscoisd.org. Tickets may only be purchased online, or using cash or credit at the athletic office.
“This is the first time that Frisco ISD has offered student season tickets at the pregame price of $3 per game except for the opening weekend which will be $6 per game,” Reese said. This will include all FISD venue games, home and away, as long as you’re in the Frisco ISD venue at Memorial Stadium, Toyota Stadium, or at The Ford Center at The Star, home or away team, those games will be in that season ticket booklet.”
One of the biggest differences this year is that all season tickets will be general admission meaning there will be no reserved seating.
The district hopes the season tickets will help promote community involvement.
“By offering season ticket packets by campus, you allow your community, the middle school and elementary school feeders the opportunity to come together,” Reese said. “[This allows them] to support each other, and to bring back Friday Night Lights.”
