The 2023-24 school year ends on Friday and that means summer movie season is upon us. Here’s a look at what’s hitting theaters soon.

Starting the 2023-24 school year weeks before classes began, the Redhawks band has been at it since July. Now on Tuesday, they bring the school year to a close with their annual banquet at the Sandman Signature Plano-Frisco Hotel at 6:30 p.m.

Freshman Karthika Menon qualified for state for Theatrical Hair and Makeup Design and is participating in the state competition from Saturday to Tuesday at the Austin ISD Performing Arts Center. “When my tech director told me, I was absolutely speechless,” Karthika said. “I was filled with happiness because I was the only person from Liberty advancing, one of 6 in the district overall, and the only person in it advancing for Hair & Makeup specifically, and I was genuinely almost hyperventilating at that point.”
