As most Redhawks enjoyed their last few days of summer break, the volleyball team was on the court morning and night gearing up for the new season.
“We started tryouts and two a days on [Aug. 5],” head coach Eighmy Dobbins said. “Pretty busy, but very good. The girls have great attitudes and they are working really hard and we’re getting a lot better already so it’s great.”
Senior Brooklyn Brown enjoys two a days as she believes it is bettering the team.
“Two a days have been good so far,” Brown said. “I feel like all groups bring good energy and the coaches have been very mindful of our bodies and the rest we need and the breaks we need. I feel like overall it has been a very successful week and it has been very beneficial for everybody.”
The girls play their first non-district game of the 2024-2025 season Tuesday against McKinney North at The Nest.
