The Frisco ISD Board of Trustees held their monthly meeting Monday night with a packed agenda centered around a hearing to set the 2024 tax rate, nomination of trustees as representatives to other organizations, and approving agreements with various third party education companies.
To kick off the meeting, the Board recognized Baylor Scott and White – Centennial as a Partner in Education for their donations to the CTE center and CNA program.
“Tonight, we are recognizing Baylor Scott and White at Centennial,” Director of Community Relations and Frisco Education Foundation Ashley Sine said. “This latest partnership recognition we wanted to bring in because they recently made a significant donation to our health sciences program at the Career and Tech Center (CTE Center) right over here. With that donation, we’re gonna be able to bring in a lot more nursing supplies actually and something that we’re really excited about is possibly looking at the IV dummies for our nursing students.”
During the meeting, the Board set a date for the tax ratification and bond election and examined several different resolutions and amendments. School supply stipends and a new student code of conduct for the 2024-2025 school year were also approved.
Finally, the Board also addressed previous meeting minutes, tax reports and purchases over $100,000 from previous months, and PIR and quarterly investment reports.
