Wingspan: What made you decide to do Powder Puff?

McGuiness: “Well last year I was QB2 and this year I wanted to see my improvement and decided to do QB1.”

Wingspan: How serious do you take Powder Puff? What’re your game strategies?

McGuiness: “I take Powder Puff very seriously, I’m thinking about Powder Puff on and off the field, I’m thinking about the plays, I’m writing them down on my notebook. I’m 24/7 Powder Puff.”

Wingspan: Do you play any other sports?

McGuiness: “I played basketball for the past three years, I was the manager. It was pretty lit.”

Wingspan: What does your training look like?

McGuiness: “In the morning I drink like 12 raw eggs just to get woken up and hyped. I drink like 3 Red Bulls before I come into school, then I drink 2 cups of coffee on the field during practice. After practice I eat bagels with protein powder on them. Just the protein and the bagel, I like the dryness. For lunch I probably have like 12 raw chicken breasts, and  for dinner I have two large pepperoni pizzas from Pizza Hut and a whole chicken from Kroger. Live fast, die young.”

Wingspan: How did you become quarterback?

McGuiness: “It’s kind of a long story actually, my arm started tingling one day and I was like ‘I have an itch that i just can’t scratch.’ Then one day my dad was like ‘hey you want to throw some pig skin’ and I tried it and my arm stopped itching after that.”

Wingspan: What’s it going to take for the seniors to win?

McGuiness: “Well It’s not going to take much because the juniors are not very, shall we say, athletic. I mean Rebecca Lescay and Jordan Hamilton are probably our biggest competitors but we’re looking pretty good. We’re pretty strong, we got a strong defense and a stronger offense because QB1.”

Wingspan: Do you think you could just as easily win playing against guys?

McGuiness: “You know probably, optimistically. If I was in shape more, but I haven’t really worked out in like 10 weeks, maybe more, so currently no.”

Wingspan: Are you a big football fan? What’s your team?

McGuiness: “Yeah when it’s on I get into it but I don’t seek out watching football unless it’s the 49’ers or the Patriots.”

Wingspan: How do you think the Powder Puff will play out? Are you confident in winning?

McGuiness: “Oh I’m definitely confident, by half time we’re going to be up by 30 points easily.”
