Redhawks football opened up the season with a loss Friday, after falling 34-11 to Lebanon Trail at the Ford Center.
“Obviously, we are disappointed in the outcome, but we did some good things that we can build on,” head coach Matt Swinnea said. “I was really proud of how we responded in the second half. We made some adjustments defensively and were able to make the stops that we needed to get our offense back on the field.”
Even though the team is 0-1, Lebanon Trail was a non-district game, so Friday’s loss does not count toward the district standings.
“It sucks to start with a loss, however, we must move our focus forward,” senior Khaleb Cooper said. “We had some issues with alignment that we need to fix moving forward.”
