Following their 3-0 takedown of the Heritage Coyotes in an away match Tuesday, the Redhawks volleyball team improved their District 11-5A record to 3-1, snagging a third-place spot in the standings.
“We played well,” head coach Eighmy Dobbins said. “We served aggressively and were making smart offensive decisions. We did a good job of making an adjustment about halfway through the first set [because] we had a slow start. After our timeout we came out super strong and played really consistently the rest of the night. It was good to see that quick change from the team.”
According to senior Mackenzie Raymond, the key to the Redhawks’ success is their willingness to experiment.
“We seem to have found a new lineup that works for us, so it all comes down to communication and shot selection for getting around blocks while maintaining our defense,” Raymond said.
