Sitting at the top of the District 11-5A standings, the volleyball team (9-1) looks to stretch their winning streak to ten straight games as they host fifth-place Heritage (4-6) Friday at The Nest at 6:30 p.m during the Redhawks’ senior night match.
The Redhawks have already beaten the Coyotes once this season, 3-0, and assistant coach Rylee Stewart is confident that the team can do it a second time.
“We’ve been doing really well lately, so I think if we just play clean and consistent, we will be able to pull it off,” Stewart said. “The most important thing, though, is just going to be celebrating our seniors and all of their hard work.”
Sophomore Makena Wise notes the progress the team has made since the start of the season.
“We’re playing much cleaner now, even through tight scores,” Wise said. “This could be an easy victory for us.”
