Wingspan: When and why did you start playing golf?
Gerardot: “I started playing golf in the middle of my sophomore year, after being injured and unable to play basketball. I decided to find something that I could still play that would cause less pain in my knee.”
Wingspan: What is your favorite part about playing golf?
Gerardot: “My favorite part is practicing with friends, and being able constantly find ways to improve.”
Wingspan: Who is your biggest supporter?
Gerardot: “My biggest supporter Is my dad. He is always encouraging me to get better and always hoping to get a round in when we can.”
Wingspan: Who is your biggest inspiration?
Gerardot: “My biggest inspiration is my mom because she works so hard to make time for everyone and to manage everything.”
Wingspan: What is your favorite course to play and why?
Gerardot: “My favorite course to play is PGA because it is a very nice and challenging course.”
Wingspan: What do you hope to accomplish this season?
Gerardot: “My goal this season is to advance past districts and get to compete at regionals.”
Wingspan: Do you plan to continue your golf career after high school?
Gerardot: “Although I have had fun playing golf, I hope to attend Texas A&M. And I think it would be best to just keep it as a hobby.”
