Most students don’t get a lot of say in the architectural design on their rooms at home, but there’s one class on campus that has students creating their own space. Students in the digital animation class are work on room modeling and designing their favorite or imaginary room modeling.
For Digital Animation teacher Demas Lamas, the project requires certain things for students to be successful.
“So working on 3d modeling, it really important that they organize their files that they follow directions that they know design specifications for whatever project they’re working on if they did a project of any kind and this is really important you want to keep everything organized you want to be able to ask when you’re uncertain about certain things it’s all those aspects of a project”
Students are creating room models, following their teacher’s instructions and searching on their own to finish the project.
“So first i found a reference photo and then I put that on like a slideshow and took some time to analyze it and figure out which shapes to use like what squares circles,” sophomore Riley McClaren said. “I did that and looked up like different tutorials on how to make different seats screens little items scattered around the room and then colored.”
