Donut Tree serves delicious options

I’m not much of a donut eater but I decided to go to The Donut Tree to try donuts other than the basic flavors to hopefully make me enjoy donuts.

My choice of donut was strawberry cream cheese and on the side of that I ordered one strawberry flavored macaron and two donut holes.

I decided to go with the strawberry cream cheese donut because strawberry is one of my favorite flavors and so I thought it would be a great idea and it was. This donut was one of the best donuts I’ve ever had, basically. It was super creamy and flavorful and the strawberries were so yummy. I truly loved it.

On the other hand though, the macaron wasn’t that good. It was way too sweet and mushy. I don’t know if that’s how macarons are supposed to be like but I just didn’t like it.

Regardless of that, I’m still planning on going back some other time to try more of their more interesting donuts.

Malgudi Garden serves up some spice

Malgudi Garden features Indian dishes such as samosa, puri, and sambar. In this week’s edition of Culinary Crusade, Wingspan’s Kanz Bitar gives her opinion on the restaurant.

Living in Texas, a really diverse state, I was able to grow up having a lot of Indian friends but throughout all these years, I had never had Indian food. So for this week’s culinary crusade, I went to Malgudi Garden to try some Indian food.

Going into this, I knew that I wasn’t going to enjoy the food mainly because I hate spicy food. However I decided to go to branch out and try Indian food. 

But the few things that I really liked were the samosa, and puri dipped in sambar

There were some that I felt I would’ve liked if it wasn’t for the spice, like chole, it had a good flavor, but the spice was too strong for me. 

I don’t think I’ll be going to an Indian restaurant anytime soon, but I wouldn’t be opposed to it like I may have been before.
