New system makes finding books easier
March 29, 2017
Libraries need to be logically organized in a way that makes it easy for someone to find what they are looking for and school librarian Jeana Chetty has been working on a new organization system.
Traditionally, books have been arranged in alphabetical order, by author name, which means that books of the same genre were often scattered throughout the library.
This makes it difficult for a fan of a specific genre to easily explore and find new books that could catch his or her interest.
But Chetty is identifying the genres of the books by putting colored stickers on them.
This new organization system is expected to be much more convenient than the one in place now.
