Since the start of his high school career, senior Jordan Robison has always known that he wanted to pursue wrestling for as long as possible and Wednesday morning he took the next step, signing scholarship papers to attend Northern Colorado University in the fall.

“The coaches were great, the team was great,” Robison said. “It’s a Division one program in the Big 12 Conference, and something that I really wanted to do all my life so it just seemed perfect.”

After becoming the first wrestler in school history to win 100 matches by pin, Robison is ready for the challenge of wresting for Northern Colorado.

“I think it will be fun, it’s definitely going to be a whole other level than high school wrestling,”  Robinson said. “It’s going to be a lot more challenging, a big step up but I’m excited for it and I think it’s going to be a lot of fun.”

On top of the wrestling leaderboard in numerous categories and a state champion, Robison isn’t ready for his wrestling career to be over.

“I’ve been doing wrestling pretty much all my life,” Robison said. “Dedicated my whole life to it and missed a lot of other things that kids do all the time just for wrestling. I love it so I didn’t want to stop so I kept going.”
