11 select band students made the trip to Plano West Senior High School on Wednesday to audition for one of two All-Region jazz ensembles. Of these students who participated, four qualified for one of the two jazz ensembles.

Below is a list of those students that were selected for Jazz Ensemble 1 and Jazz Ensemble 2.

Jazz Ensemble 1*:

Nathan Brooks (senior): 1st chair alto sax

Reuben Mathews (junior): 2nd chair trumpet

Sid Sadhu (junior): 5th chair trumpet

Kennedy Williams (junior): 2nd chair drums

Jazz Ensemble 2:

Patrick Lin (junior): 3rd chair tenor sax

*Musicians who qualify for the top region band will participate in area auditions in early October for a spot in one of the two All-State Jazz ensembles.
