Independent Study and Mentorship students from throughout Frisco ISD showed off the research they have collected so far this year in the annual research showcase at The Star Wednesday evening.

“I felt like it was an incredible successful event,” ISM teacher Karene Goff said. “We had a huge turn out of parents guests and as well as our mentors that are working with our students this year.”

Held at The Star for the second year in a row, students were able to show off their professionalism in a unique environment.

“It definitely raises the credibility of our program and highlights the partnership that we have with the Cowboys,” Goff said.

For students participating in ISM, the showcase allows them to share with others what they’ve been working hard on all year.

“It was a great experience for me and as a junior,” Aniket Matharasi said. “This is my first time doing the research showcase which made the two hours fly by.”

The next stage for ISM students comes in May when they present their project in front of invited friends and guests.

“Hopefully I can continue the research I’ve been doing,” Matharasi said. “And create a great final project for Final Presentation Night.”
