For the second year in a row, Student Council is looking to help clubs that may need extra funds through the Grants for Great Ideas program. With the money made from homecoming, Student Council wants to make sure it’s all going back to the students.

“Grants for Great Ideas is a project to provide money for clubs and organizations to better benefit the school,” Student Council president Jeffrey Nebeker said. “The things that StuCo wants to give money for are things that the club will buy that will have long term impacts on the students.”

Best Buddies and the Robotics club utilized the opportunity in 2017, and this year, many other clubs have applied for a chance at a grant.

“Clubs like Pulse and Dance have applied,” Student Council sponsor Jordan Benton said. “And we are looking into those grants and hope to be able to help them out.”

The final day to submit an application for grants is March 2.
