The DFW Best Buddies Friendship Walk is taking place this Saturday April 7th at the Simpson Plaza in Frisco Square from 7:30 to 11:30 a.m.

In addition to spreading awareness for intellectual or developmental disabilities from the walk, the school’s chapter of Best Buddies hopes to increase its past fundraising goal of $3,500 to $7,500.

At the walk chapters from all over the metroplex will be uniting to bring awareness for those with IDD’s and create more friendships.

“When you go to the friendship walk and you see all these groups and all these people, not only Frisco ISD but also the entire DFW area, it just opens your eyes to see how big Best Buddies is.” junior Yael Ben David said.  “It’s just really amazing to connect with other people and see what it means to them and how it all just comes together.“
