Ancient remedy blooming with benefits

Bouquets of roses are always nice, but the true way to someone’s heart is a remedy for clear skin and a healthy glow.

Rosewater has been one of the latest additions to makeup artists’ routines but it has actually been around for centuries. Cleopatra often used rosewater to keep her skin fresh and dewy when she reigned as queen of Egypt, along with many other natural remedies, but we’ll leave that for a later post.

So for today, I’m going to give you a master list of all the benefits of rosewater and give you a couple ways to implement it into your daily life.

How to use it?

1. Spraying it on your face is a great way to set your makeup and hydrate the skin directly.

2. Apply on scalp with a cotton pad and massage it into your roots for an all natural hair conditioner, to alleviate scalp inflammation and eliminate frizz.  

3. To use as a face cleanser, mix one tablespoon of rosewater with a dew drops of glycerin and apply to face.

4. Soak a cotton pad in chilled rosewater and apply to eyelids and under eyes to reduce

5. To prevent acne, mix one tablespoon of lemon juice with one tablespoon of rose water, apply on skin. After 30 minutes, wash it all off and wait for the magic to happen. Repeat daily for best results.

6. To use as a moisturizer, mix rose water with almond oil, or your lotion of choice.

7. To destress, draw yourself a rose-infused bath, as it has shown to be a great stress reducer.
