Salubrious Juice & More is partnering with Wingspan to give students a discount to explore healthier options.
The juice bar is 100 percent organic and plant-based. The menu includes a variety of fruit smoothies, lunch items and bottled juices. Owner Ajay Sharma, opened his store as part of his mission to encourage healthy eating in the community. On the Salubrious site, Sharma shares that in his journey as a Marine, he felt that he could excel more if he dedicated himself to a healthy diet. After some time, he noticed that he had more energy and vitality after adopting the plant-based diet.
I visited the restaurant recently so that I could have my own opinion on how good this place actually is, even though is had great reviews online. I can now say that my first visit, will definitely not be my last. Not only was the customer service exceptional but the menu items I chose all tasted delicious and fresh. What led me to try Salubrious was the fact that they use all organic ingredients and all of their menu items are vegan.
After checking out the menu, I had the Vegan BLT, the Evergreen smoothie, and the Mango, Pineapple & Strawberry Smoothie Bowl topped with granola, almonds and strawberries. To start off the, Vegan BLT tasted very fresh and the flavors of the avocado, vegan bacon and seasonings all blended really well.
Next, I had the Evergreens smoothie. The ingredients include mangos, pineapples, spinach, kale and dates. The drink was really refreshing and I definitely felt very healthy sipping on it. What I liked best about it was that they don’t add any sugars or agave nectar to make it sweeter.
Lastly, about the smoothie bowl. The smoothie base itself was also very refreshing and the toppings added a very nice crunch. Overall, the combination made it a very well-rounded menu item.
