Hosting the Independence Knights at The Nest on Friday, the Redhawks kept ahold of their seven game winning streaks.

For the girls’ team, that meant keeping up with their solid defense and winning 44-17.

“I think we performed well,” senior Alyssa Nayar said. “I’m proud that we were able to keep them under twenty points.”

For the boys’ team, it was a 65-45 win with senior Zion Richardson dropping in 18 points on Friday, making him the first Redhawk to score 1,500 points in his high school career.

“It’s a blessing first and foremost to even reach 1,500 points,” Richardson said. “Nonetheless be the first to get it at Liberty, but I’d like to thank mostly God for this talent in me and giving me the tools to succeed. Then my mom for the countless time spent for me to be great. I’m also grateful for Coach Friar for believing in me to go produce on the court.”
