Just a few days after taking 5th place in the Frisco ISD Tip-Off Classic with its only losses against District 6-6A schools, the girls basketball team took on another 6-6A school when they travelled to Flower Mound High School Tuesday night.

Led by 6’4″ and Baylor-bound Lauren Cox, Flower Mound is one of top teams in the area. However, the girls jumped out to a 10 point lead at halftime and went on to win by 10 56-46.

Junior Jordan Hamilton led the way with 24 points.

The boys team was also in action Tuesday night as they hosted McKinney North. In the team’s first game of the year, they started off strong outscoring the Bulldogs 16-8 in the first quarter. From there the defense continued to play well as it held McKinney North to just 33 points in the team’s 59-33 win.

Sophomore Reggie Chaney finished with 18 points.
