Having won their first nine games in District 9-5A play, the Redhawk volleyball team visits Wakeland at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday. The team is aiming to take home a win against the Wolverines for the second time this year, and end a losing streak.

“I’m nervous but also excited for the game because we have not won at Wakeland in about six years,” junior Grace Duong said. “Also, moving forward in district it will help us gain momentum.”

Assistant volleyball coach Chantel Stweart is excited, and has high expectations for the match.

“I feel very positive because I have faith in the team,” Stewart said. “I think that we have a lot of fight and power in us and ultimately we’re going to win, I’m very confident.”
