To kick off the four day weekend, football is traveling to The Ford Center at The Star on Friday for its third District 5-5A team against the Centennial Titans with both teams looking for their first district win.

“This is a big week with the school down the street,” head coach Matt Swinnea said. “We are due for a good outing that begins and ends with great execution of the game plan, taking care of the football, and playing with great sustained effort. Our guys are hungry for victory and we look forward to the opportunity to earn one this week.”

Hoping to break the team’s 17 game losing streak, junior Will Ashmore thinks the team can find its way to a win.

“For Centennial, we’ve focused on how we can exploit their weaknesses,” Ashmore said, “We feel we have a great opportunity to have a lot of success on the field so we just have to execute and play inspired.”
