From decorating posters, planning homecoming, to helping promote school spirit, Student Council is recruiting new members for the 2020-2021 school year as applications went live Monday at bit.ly/STUCOAPP_2020 and will close January 27 with no applications being accepted late.

“Students should want to be a part of Student Council,” StuCo sponsor Kandy Stevens said. “It allows for student-led initiative to boost school spirit and support our community both on campus, as well as our surrounding community.”

Being in Student Council the past year has given junior Kallin Brown a new perspective on how work and friendship can overlap.

“Student Council has been so fun the last year and you really get to see the amount of work that students put into the school to allow others and the school as a whole to thrive,” Brown said. “Student Council has given me a whole new type of work ethic and new friends that I would not have made without this class.”
