The first winter improv show of the year was Thursday in the Black Box theater. Actors played several improv games and even interacted with the audience.

Acting on the spot, the first improv show of the year showcased the school’s Improv Troupe Thursday evening in the Black Box Theatre.

“It went really well,” senior Lauren Head said. “It’s always a little nerve-racking because you can’t prepare beforehand, but it’s always a lot of fun. I like that improv isn’t as rehearsed so it’s usually really fun and funny to watch and it definitely keeps us on our toes.”

With no script to work from, the actors enjoyed being put on the spot.

“It was really fun to be apart of,” sophomore Hanl Brown said. “I think everyone who was in the audience enjoyed being able to interact during the show. I loved playing all the games but watching my cast mates go up and perform.”

Throughout the show, the actors had the chance to grow more confident with their improv skills.

“I think it went really well, everything came together very nicely,” senior Natalie Guerra said. “I think the actors learned to be more confident in themselves, and they were able to see how much work actually goes into something that is supposedly ‘unplanned’.”
