FISD’s Child Nutrition Department has added a second distribution site and expanded hours for its new meal pick-up plan, where students are able to pick up their breakfast and lunches for the week from various locations around Frisco.

With half of students having made a return on campus, the program will remain open throughout the school year for those wishing to stay virtual.

Families who decide to proceed with the program must fill out a separate form each grading period. Distribution will continue to be scheduled for Thursdays.

“We’ve been providing meals since March via drive-thru and have the process down,” Frisco ISD Child Nutrition Director Lisa Jenkins said in a previous interview with Wingspan. “We added 14 apartment complexes for the parents of those complexes to select as their pick-up site. We’re hoping that will reach more students who may not have access to the selected site locations.”
