Tennis falls short to the Lions

The Redhawks tennis team took on Reedy High School Tuesday at Reedy in a District 9-5A match, taking a 12-7 loss that they hope to turn into a win at their next match against Lone Star High School.

The match was close with most losses coming in 3rd sets,” tennis coach Erica Dopson said via email. “We let many chances get away.”

With hopes of improving their chances for their next match against the Rangers, Dopson will have her team work hard at practice, running specific drills.

“We will be working on tiebreakers,” Dopson said. “We had numerous 3rd set tiebreaker losses. Many of our players are new to Varsity competition and this is a great learning experience.”
