The Frisco Public Library returned to its normal hours starting Nov. 7 continuing to operate at a 75 percent capacity, as issued by Gov. Greg Abbott. Only a maximum of 204 people will be allowed at one time, with social distancing and masks being mandatory.

Additional measures are also being taken to create a safe environment at the library according to Youth Services Manager, Jennifer Cummings.

“Staff and guests ages 10 and up are required to wear masks,” Cummings said via email. “We have heightened cleaning procedures for frequently touched surfaces and returned items are quarantined for 24 hours. Our children’s floor is currently closed and gloves aren’t required, but we encourage frequent hand washing and have hand sanitizer readily available.”

The library’s curbside service is is also available and provides an easy method of checking out books for those looking for a contactless trip.

“Library members can check out up to 100 items at a time,” Cummings said. “Holds can be placed on items via our website and our app. Once the item is available it just takes a few minutes to pick it up curbside or in our drive-thru. We just launched a new feature on our app that you can use to let us know that you’re on your way to pick up available holds!”
