Both basketball teams tried to conquer their opponents this weekend on the court.
On the girls’ side, both the Redhawks and the Centennial Titans entered the contest undefeated (3-0) in District 9-5A, Friday night. And much like the standings it was a close affair.
Low scoring throughout, the Titans were able to do just enough to score the 25-23 win.
’We go into every game with the same mentality and that’s to win,” senior Maya Jain said. ’it doesn’t matter who we play, that’s the only stat that we care about.’
On the boys’ side the team was able to shake off some rust and take the Trail Blazers 61-43.
”We really shared the ball and played unselfish,” senior Stryker Virgil said. “It was even more fun because everyone was playing the same way therefore everyone was doing good.”
