As a very big fan of the James Bond films, I wanted to take the opportunity to express my love for their music. Every Bond movie has a song of its own that usually relates to the title of the movie. Here I will go into detail about why the music from these films is so unique and I will also name my top three songs from the films.

The reason why these tracks fit so perfectly with the themes of the movies is because over time, the Bond films have created their own genre of music, and these tracks fit that genre perfectly. They give you that sense of excitement that comes with dangerous situations that Bond puts himself in. These songs are also like mini previews of the movies and they fit perfectly with the opening credits of all the films.

My top three songs don’t correspond with my top three favorite Bond films but here they are. At number one is “From Russia With Love” by Matt Monro, “Writing’s On the Wall” by Sam Smith, and “Skyfall” by Adele. I am a big fan of “From Russia With Love” because it screams spy movie. James Bond is not James Bond if he doesn’t get into trouble with a Russian or in Russia. “Writing’s On the Wall” is another incredible song that gets you in your feels. Sam Smith’s delivery of this song is incredible as is his voice.

Last but not least, “Skyfall” is an iconic song and it is particularly sad but also intriguing because in the film Skyfall, James rediscovers things about his childhood and the film really focuses on him as a person rather than as the infamous British spy.

These films hold a special place in my heart and the music just adds to my love for them. There is endless enjoyment in these tracks and they will forever be some of my favorite songs from a movie.
