Band will be hosting its mid-winter concert in the auditorium Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:15 p.m. This event will be their second concert of the year, leading up to their UIL performances in the spring.

“Obviously, we can utilize this [mid-winter] performance for UIL,” assistant director Zach Anderson said.  

Band members have been working on these pieces since last semester and often attend hour-long practices before and after school. The concert will give the bands an idea of their music skills, helping to sharpen their individual skills in their preparation for UIL.

“This concert helps in preparation for UIL by [giving] us a preview to some of the stuff we’re doing for UIL,” band director Jamie Weaver said. “For a February concert, I think it will be phenomenal.”
