Will there be a sequel to Justice League?
March 24, 2021
Zack Snyder’s Justice League has been widely well-received, boasting a 96 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Since the film did not debut in theaters, it’s hard to determine how much it has grossed, but with the success it seems to be having, it is entirely possible that we get some sort of sequel or follow up.
Whether it is necessary or not, casual and diehard fans of the DC films agree that there is still a big story left to be told, with Zack Snyder’s Justice League ending with Darkseid announcing that he will attack Earth.
In the comics, Darkseid is one of the Justice League’s greatest adversaries, so it would be a huge wasted opportunity to not follow up on the cliffhanger from the film.
Due to the unique circumstances revolving around the release of the latest cut, any possible sequel would most likely not be directed by Snyder, as he only intended to make three films, following Superman from origins to him helping form the Justice League.
Hopefully, a director, Snyder or not, picks up the reins and finishes the story started by Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
