With only a few weeks left in the fourth grading period, all students are given the opportunity to register to attend summer school with Monday being the first day the registration window opened. 

Students can take summer school for multiple reasons: academic recovery, academic acceleration, enrichment purposes, and/or for an extended school year purpose.

Students may be looking to improve their skills in various topics rather than just a specific one, so they may choose to partake in the summer enrichment program. The Tile 1 Summer Enrichment Experience is a free program which allows eligible students to ameliorate their skills.

Academic recovery enables students to recoup credits they may not have earned over the school year. While registration ends on May 25 for credit recovery, students have until May 31 at 4 p.m. to drop the class with a full refund. After 4:01 p.m. on May 31 through June 10, students may still drop the class with no penalty, but they will not get a refund.

Summer school runs from June 1-24 and will be asynchronous learning for most of the learning experience and costs $225 per semester course. 

Students are limited in the acceleration courses that are allowed to take, but they are provided with many credit recovery classes from each subject. Students are also able to take test prep courses for $50 per course.
