For the Art 2-D, Drawing, and 3-D exams, the May 20 date is the deadline for AP coordinators to forward AP Art and Design portfolios to the AP Program through the AP Art and Design digital submission. Additionally, there are no physical portfolios for the 2020-21 school year exams.

From art history to design, there are various AP art exams on the docket for the 2020-21 school year exam season. Here is a rundown of the tests and their dates: 

AP Art 2-D (Thursday, May 20, 11:59 p.m.)

Sustained Investigation of 15 images and Selected Works of five artworks and responses to prompts. 

AP Drawing (Thursday, May 20, 11:59 p.m.)

Sustained Investigation of 15 images and Selected Works of five artworks and responses to prompts.

AP Art History (Thursday, May 6, 12 p.m.)

Section 1 consists of 80 multiple choice questions in one hour, and Section 2 consists of six questions in two hours, with both sections worth 50% of the exam.

AP Art 3-D (Thursday, May 20, 11:59 p.m.)

Sustained Investigation of 15 images and Selected Works including 10 images of five artworks (two views of each).
