Wingspan: You had a big game against Memorial, what was your mindset going into this game, and did you think you were going to have to take over the way you did?

Luster: “My teammates and I went into the game with a winning mindset. The team being able to trust me when big plays were needed was truly a blessing. It was a tough game, but we definitely gave it our all, and that helped us win the game.”

Wingspan: How did you get started in football? 

Luster: “Me being as young as I was, football just made me a very energetic kid. I was going around hitting other players and having fun that just made me fall in love with the game. It ended up being a big part of my life, and I’m very grateful for it.”

Wingspan: What has been your proudest moment on the field?

Luster: “Just seeing my teammates cheer for each other after successful moments. It is a blessing to have such a supportive team. We are really putting in the work this season, and it is paying off.”

Wingspan: What’s it like being such a star athlete and maintaining high school and friends?

Luster: “Being an athlete and maintaining school,friends, and family can be difficult. There are definitely some sacrifices you have to make, but at the end of the day it all pays off. It is very rewarding to see the outcome of all of my work.”

Wingspan: What’s your favorite part about football?

Luster: “Spending time with my teammates. I love working with the team, and being on the field together. Being a part of a team is a lot of fun and it makes all the hard work worth it.”

Wingspan: Who has been your biggest motivator? 

Luster: “My mom. She has always been there for me, taking me to practice, and supporting me at my games. She has pushed me to be a better player, and I think it has really helped me in my football career.”

Wingspan: How has playing football impacted your life?

Luster: “Football has really impacted my life by putting my name out there and by just showing a lot of people what I can do. It has given me something to work towards, and look forward to. It has been a big blessing in my life.”
