One of the biggest fun runs in Frisco will not be happening this year.

It first started back in the 80s by former Frisco firefighter Gary Burns, the Gary Burns Fun Run has been a Frisco tradition for decades.

Taking place at Toyota Stadium is a major fundraiser for the Frisco Education Foundation.

However, the annual Gary Burns 5k & Fun Run has been canceled this year.

The FEF decided to call off this year’s race due to the current environment, but the race may come back in 2022.

There is still the Gary Burns Memorial Scholarship which is available to Frisco ISD seniors courtesy of the Frisco Education Foundation.

Anybody interested in donating to FEF can go to friscoisd.org and search for the Frisco Education Foundation.
