Wingspan: Why did you pick basketball out of everything else? What interests you about it?
Thompson: “It’s just fun, and I like to dribble and score.”
Wingspan: What keeps you motivated while playing?
Thompson: “My teammates, and knowing that I can help my team win and we can win together.”
Wingspan: How do you deal with pressure from either your parents or from a coach?
Thompson: “I just shake it off, I don’t really take it to heart.”
Wingspan: How do you prepare for a game?
Thompson: “Me and my teammates make dance videos and get hyped, we’re not just sitting there all quiet or anything.”
Wingspan: What’re some challenges you face while playing? How do you overcome them?
Thompson: “Making my layups and making my free throws, practice helps.”
Wingspan: What’s your favorite/worst memory about basketball?
Thompson: “Favorite memory is when I hit a half court shot when I was in fifth grade, and worst is when I got into a fight on court.”
ingspan: Do you have problems balancing basketball with your social and educational life? How do you deal with it?
Thompson: “Yes I have problems balancing it with my educational life because sometime my grades aren’t where I want them to be, all I can do is go to tutorials more often.”
Wingspan: How are you planning to pursue basketball in the future?
Thompson: “Im planing on playing all 4 years of high school and also in college.”
