Sarah Philips, Editor-in-chief

Sarah Philips is a senior and highly involved in the school. She has competed in UIL Journalism all four years of high school, and placed fifth in News Writing at the State Meet in Austin in May 2015.

In addition to being the 2015-2016 Wingspan Editor-in-chief, her titles include National Honor Society President, Junior Frisco Women’s League President, member of Student Council, Academic UIL team member, connoisseur of AP classes, Independent Study and Mentorship student and Gryffindor (Potterhead for life).

She hasn’t slept in the last four years, but survives on a very healthy mix of Starbucks or RaceTrac coffee (depending on how broke she currently is), the three C’s (Chipotle, Cane’s, and Chick-fil-A) and chocolate.

If she could have lunch with any five people, she would choose Jesus, J.K. Rowling, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, and Emma Watson, just to see what would happen. Wingspan is everything she’s ever wanted for the media program at the school, and her only regret is not having it before her senior year.
